Peter Kula PEng
Peter brings more than 30 years of diverse design and management experience with a large nationally-based structural consulting firm. His many years as design practitioner tempered with extensive on-site troubleshooting expertise support the firm’s objectives to consistently deliver efficiency and ingenuity. His broad experience in managing contractor relationships and providing project support augments Konsolidated Structural’s role and contributions both throughout the design and the construction phase.

In addition to B.Sc. degrees in both Civil Engineering and Physics/Mathematics, Peter spent a year at the University of Manitoba’s School of Environmental Design studying Architecture. In 1978 he joined Read Jones Christoffersen’s (RJC’s) Calgary office as a jobsite reviewer. Peter applied his many summers of hands-on construction experience towards establishing effective and reliable on-site management capabilities and troubleshooting skills – demonstrated through his contributions on numerous demanding high-rise developments including Gulf Canada Square, Bow Valley Square and The Delta Bow Valley Hotel. The dedication, creativity, and professionalism he invested on his early projects were acknowledged by clients that included Hammerson Properties, WZMH Architects and Dominion Construction.

Over the course of a professional career that spanned more than three decades, Peter played pivotal roles; as design and later project engineer; group leader; mentor and trainer; and most recently leading RJC’s quality control efforts at the Toronto office. He was recognized for his efforts, becoming Associate while working for the Vancouver office in 1994 and promoted to Principal two years later at the Calgary office.

Peter holds designations as a Professional Engineer in the provinces of Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, with further distinction of Consulting Engineer in the province of Ontario.
